Comfort…it’s a common word. Buying a mattress, a pair of shoes, a new car, a southern cookbook…you’ll probably see the word “comfort” pop up quite a bit. But in the world of wedding photography it’s not something you hear a lot, unless you’re as blessed as we are to photograph a wedding like Jennifer & Sean’s.

These two are a very warm and inviting pair. Spend a couple minutes with them and you’ll be chatting, laughing, and quickly fooled into thinking you’ve known them for years. And if that kind of warmth is powerful enough to fool us, we’ll be happy to be fooled again and again. Jennifer and Sean, their family and friends, are all united by that sense of warmth and it impacted almost every single part of their awesome wedding day.

One simple example of what it is we’re getting at is the fact that, to be honest, it was a little tricky keeping track of who were blood relatives and who were friends…even though keeping track of who is who is part of what we do all the time. So why was it tricky? Because everyone was like family, everyone was so close, and everyone was so…comfortable. And it’s a very magnetic kind of thing. It pulls you in. Thankfully, we’re focused and professional enough to stay on task. Otherwise, we might have found ourselves feeling embarrassed that we ‘accidentally’ brought our work gear to our friend’s wedding, when we were only supposed to be ‘guests.’
